TAK server online
We've needed a way to keep in contact with our volunteers regardless of the situation. Usually during big storms cell phone towers are knocked out, over whelmed, or just simply not working. Enter the TAK server over meshtastic assisted with cell or radio communications. Its been an extremely daunting project to get up and running but the up side is 10 fold. This is what your donations go towards.
Our newest asset - LMTV
Purchased by one of our volunteers to respond in heavy flooded areas or areas that are hard to reach. We will be upgrading this vehicle to become a mobile command center / extraction vehicle. The Light Medium Tactical Vehicle (LMTV) is a rugged, 2 1/2 ton 4x4 military and tactical truck known for its extreme off-road mobility, 5,000 lb payload capacity, and high-water fording capabilities. Soon to have a 20k recovery winch on the front bumper for moving the most stubborn of obsticals.
A location to train and reset
We are luck to partner with a 501c3 that understands our mission and wants to help as much as possible. Veterans Freedom Ranch gives us training space, work space, and unwinding space. They are currently in the works to provide 4-5 off grid villas to veterans for weekend stays. It is incredible the amount of time, money and energy that they devote to their selfless cause. We are humbled.
